Who it fits
Good fit for
This lock suits homeowners and renters who want flexible access without a hub. The direct Wi-Fi connection simplifies setup for those who dislike extra hardware. Families benefit from the ability to store 200 credentials and set temporary codes for cleaners or guests. The auto-lock feature helps prevent forgotten locks, which is useful for busy households. Its compatibility with standard door thicknesses makes it a strong option for quick upgrades on existing entry doors.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a lock for non-standard doors outside the 1 3/8 to 2-inch range. The IP54 rating protects against splashes but not submersion or heavy rain, so it may not suit exposed entries in harsh climates. If you prefer a lock that does not require Wi-Fi, this model relies on a network connection for remote features. Users who want a mechanical-only experience without app integration will find the smart functions unnecessary.
Verdict: The Ulecoce DL08H is a versatile, hub-free smart lock that fits most standard doors. It offers robust access control through seven methods and direct Wi-Fi connectivity.

Design and build specs
The Ulecoce DL08H presents a minimalist retro-style handle that blends with modern aesthetics. According to the listing, this sturdy handle is included in the set. The unit measures 10.2 inches in width, 3.9 inches in height, and 13.8 inches in length. These dimensions allow it to fit most standard US doors. The adjustable structure matches most pre-existing door holes, meaning you likely will not need extra drilling for installation. It supports both left-handed and right-handed doors, with a door thickness range of 1 3/8 to 2 inches. This flexibility simplifies the swap for older locks.
The finish is black, providing a neutral look for various entryways. The lock features a privacy-protected anti-tamper touch keypad and an anti-pry lock cylinder. This specification suggests it can handle everyday outdoor weather conditions without issue. You can place it on apartment exterior doors or single-family houses with confidence regarding basic environmental exposure.
Inside, the lock includes inner and outer one-touch lock buttons. These controls allow for easy operation even when your hands are full. The layout prioritizes convenience alongside security. The Type-C emergency power port is discreetly integrated, ensuring you can power the lock via a power bank if the batteries drain completely. This design choice prevents you from being locked out during a power failure. The overall build focuses on practical daily use rather than ornate decoration.
Setup and everyday use guide
Installation is straightforward for most standard US doors. The unit fits door thicknesses between 1 3/8 inches and 2 inches. It supports both left-handed and right-handed configurations. The adjustable structure matches most pre-existing door holes, so you likely will not need extra drilling. This saves time during the initial setup phase.
Daily operation relies on seven distinct unlocking methods. You can use a fingerprint, which the listing claims unlocks in 0.2 seconds. The lock stores up to 200 sets of fingerprints and passcodes. You can also use an IC card, a static PIN, or mechanical emergency keys. The app allows you to generate one-time, permanent, scheduled, or recurring passcodes. This feature is useful for giving temporary access to guests or maintenance workers. You can edit or revoke these codes remotely.
The lock connects directly to your home Wi-Fi. You manage access permissions and view unlock logs via the app. It sends alerts if the door remains unlocked, which helps remote workers verify security. You can set the auto-lock delay between 5 and 60 seconds. Built-in one-touch lock buttons allow easy operation even when your hands are full. The IP54 rating protects against splashes and dust. A Type-C port provides emergency power if the battery drains, preventing you from being locked out.
Before you buy this smart lock
Before you add the Ulecoce DL08H to your entryway, verify your door’s thickness is between 1 3/8 and 2 inches. Check if your door is left- or right-handed, as the unit supports both but requires proper alignment. You must have a stable Wi-Fi network nearby, since this lock connects directly to your home router for app management and remote logs. Without consistent connectivity, features like auto-lock alerts and remote authorization will not function. Keep a power bank handy for emergencies, as the Type-C port allows temporary power if batteries drain. This lock complements video doorbells by adding secure access control to your monitoring system. It suits busy households needing flexible entry options. Ensure your existing door holes align with the adjustable structure to avoid extra drilling. Regularly check battery levels via the app to prevent lockouts. This device fits well alongside other smart home security tools, offering a comprehensive entry solution.
